The Wehrmacht included the German Army, Air Force and Navy, one of the most powerful fighting forces in modern history.

In spite of occupying most of Europe and penetrating deep into Russia (while threatening Allied shipping worldwide), the Wehrmacht was unable to hold multiple fronts thanks to the U.S. entering the war and Russia's valiant defense.

But when these stamps were issued the Nazis seemed invincible and their prowess is on display here in 10 different dramatic battle scenes.

The stamps remain in mint unused uncancelled condition.
